let's have a game of honesty!

You know what my favourite McDonalds burger is? A McChicken burger!

I love the juicy patty, the crunchy stuff on the burger, & the mayonaise.

I love KFC! I love pretty much everything at KFC (except the coldslaw).

The problem is, a few months ago I stumbled on a documentary called Food Inc.

This film was the straw that broke my conscience's back around how the animals we eat are treated. I'm not going to throw words around to describe what I saw, instead I am going to provide the tools for discovery.

Here is a 3 minute thing on how our KFC chicken gets to be between some buns & lettuce:

This is your opportunity to discover the real world - to de-illusion yourself.

This is not an easy thing to do - God knows I have many areas of my life that need some de-illusioning. But I want to find out what those areas are.

So if you're a meat eater, I don't think you're a bad person. I just assume your conscience hasn't yet wrestled with the reality of our meat industry. And if there's one thing I want my life to be about, it's challenging people to wrestle!

So here's your opportunity to have your eyes opened to the real world, not the one shown by corporate advertising.

And to you people who have had your awareness raised and have chosen to be vegetarian, or selective about what meats you eat, let's not be self-righteous arseholes. I hate arseholes. I ate meat for 26 years, and would have still been doing it had several people not chipped away at me. Self righteousness only make things worse.

And to those of you who know how these animals are treated, and continue to eat meat, be honest about it. Every time you sit down for a meal, say to yourself, "I don't give a shit about how this animal lived or died."

Don't be deliberately ignorant just so you can eat whatever you like. Right is almost always less convenient.

The question is "do I give a shit?"

Come on people, let's wrestle & make ourselves better, & our world better.
